eTip-026   Examining Muscle Functions using the Explore feature in eTouch 3

Dr. John Thie, during his 35+ year career as a chiropractor and energy kinesiologist, made many observations about specific muscles and their functions and behavior. He provided many details about how the presence of stressors, trauma and overuse affected individual muscles and their functions. Dr. Thie incorporated many of these observations into Touch for Health and we have also included these in eTouch in the Explore feature.
The Explore feature helps you to gain a more in depth understanding of Touch for Health. There are three primary ways that the Explore feature can be used:

  • Use Explore to enhance your understanding of movement and which muscles the body uses to accomplish these different movements
  • When someone reports to you that they are experiencing difficulty or pain when performing a specific movement, the Explore function can help identify the muscles that should be tested and balanced. Note: eTouch can create sessions using any subset of muscles that you identify.
  • An effective method of balancing is to perform a 14-muscle balance so that you get the benefits of balancing all the Meridians and then adding a subset of muscles to address a specific issue. Explore is very useful in identifying the muscles to be added.

In this eTip, we will use the Explore feature to identify muscles that are used in performing a specific function. For example, if someone indicates that it is difficult for them to 'flex their lower leg', you can use Explore to help determine which muscles are involved in this movement.

Importantly, we are not diagnosing or treating any condition when using this technique but when performing energetic balances, the Explore feature is extremely powerful in highlighting muscles that should be tested with the muscle test.
